Meet Tanner an adorable Dachshund mix. He was born right around 12/14/2010 and he was owner surrendered to rescue after animal control told his prior owners they had too many dogs at the house. Tanner is a doll, a super sweet little guy. He is very quiet, not a barker. He is a little bit timid at first, if rushed, otherwise he just goes with the flow. Tanner is completely housebroken, knows how to use a doggie door, has good house manners and loves his people. He crates very well at night for bedtime but he will happily sleep in your bed too. He loves to be under the covers or under a blanket when he sleeps which is a total Dachshund trait. He is great on walks and stays right by your side. Tanner is completely cat safe. He is also fantastic with all other dogs and has good play manners. He loves cats too. Kids 7 and older are fine. Tanner is pretty much a perfect dog, we can't say a negative thing about him. He is a perfect choice for a first time dog owner as you will not need to do much training at all with him. He will just settle in and conform to your schedule. (updated 01/25/2017)
