My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yardley is approx 6 months old and 20 lbs at 8/15/2016. She should be 35-40 lbs when fully grown. She is a really sweet and active pup who loves to run and play with her buddies. This is a good age to start her on some obedience training and that will be a requirement of any adoption. She is pretty good about running outside to go to the bathroom, but will still need some training and will need leash/harness training. As she is so active, older children are preferable. The shelter had Yardley as a schnauzer mix, but when we got her to the vet, he thought she might be a medium F1 labradoodle, but we have no idea if she is or not. She does have the look of one, and they are not good for allergies and do have some shedding.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. .

Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law adds an additional cost of $125.
