Hi, there! My name is BLANCO. I’ll give you 3 guesses WHY. What’s your name? Nice to meet ya!

Hey! Before you get too attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

I am a 5-year old Shepherd/Great Pyrenees, and I weigh 60 pounds. I am up to date on all my vaccines and I’ve been neutered. YIKES!

If I could tell you, I’d let you know what kind of life I’ve had so far but, starting NOW, I want a good home with lots of love and good, premium food! I hope that’s not asking for too much. Is it?

It would be SO nice for me to have lots of room to play, run and romp. I am very easy-going. I like to explore outdoors and I LOVE getting lots of attention from my peeps. I’ll give back lots of love to you when I get to your house! (UH, just to reiterate, let’s call it “our” house, OK?) Please send my current peeps an email so that I can hurry up and join you!

Wanna hear more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I am a happy and friendly boy. I like to play and give and receive attention but I don’t mind some down time with a little nap now and then. When we want to be calm and cuddle, I can do that, too. I want to be your best buddy. What do ya say, huh?

My foster family loves me SO much that they only want me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email and she can get me on my way to my new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, neutering, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting for Special Pals, a 501c3 in Houston, TX.)

About A Better Life - Connecticut

About Our Rescue Group...

We rescue dogs from the streets of Houston, TX, vet them, recuperate them from health problems, bring them to full health and then work very hard to get them adopted out-of-state. Houston, TX has over ONE MILLION stray dogs. Thousands of perfectly healthy dogs, along with sick and dying dogs that are picked up, are euthanized every single day. Houston, TX is saturated with dogs. Everyone who WANTS a dog HAS a dog. We can only save lives by getting dogs out of our region. We have found the very best adopters in the Northeast and Northwest U. S. and Canada.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is $450 for a dog being transported via truck transport (includes previous vetting, microchip, spay/neuter, travel health certificate and ground transport). OR $650 (includes all of the above plus a travel crate and airfare) to fly your dog to the nearest airport that (1) has a direct flight from Houston, TX and (2) can accommodate the size travel crate your dog would fly in. If there is no direct flight, then we do have to schedule flights with layovers. We only use United Airlines because of their PetSafe Program. They are the only airline equipped to fly dogs in year-round weather conditions. The dogs get the same air and heat as in the passenger cabin.
