Facts about Bitty

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 30422594
  • Hair: Unknown
Grey & white, short hair, female, born approx. 10/26/07, #11483

Bitty lost her beloved guardian when he passed away; his next of kin took Bitty in briefly but could not keep her. The Rescue House was asked if we could help Bitty find a new home. While in foster care, it was discovered that Bitty is hyperthyroid; a simple twice-daily medication has stabilized her levels and she is doing very well now, though she will need to have the medication for the rest of her life.

Bitty, or "Itty Bitty" as is commonly called for her dainty size, is happy to perch in high places to observe her domain. When she walks onto your lap for attention it is like having four feathers deliver an adorable ball of cuteness. A strong and independent girl, Bitty gets along with everyone and is also content to do things on her own... though she’s not about to let you forget mealtimes and she’d really prefer if she’s allowed in the bedroom at night. Bitty doesn’t like to be shut away from her people and the activity of the household.

Bitty is good with dogs once introduced and just about all people, though she has not had exposure to very young children yet. She gets along with other welcoming cats and depending on how their personalities mesh may adopt a "sidekick" role.

Bitty lost her best friend when death parted them, yet she has so much love in her heart to share. She knows how special the connection between a kitty and human can be, and she is ready to offer that love to her next family. Will you give Bitty the chance to love you for a lifetime?

About THE RESCUE HOUSE

About Our Rescue Group...

The Rescue House is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting cats through its rescue, foster and adoption activities. We find loving homes for unwanted, abandoned, homeless and abused cats. We open our arms to cats that need assistance, regardless of age and often regardless of handicap. We find good homes for every cat that we take in - we are a true no-kill cat rescue organization.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We at The Rescue House believe that we can contribute to the welfare of our furry friends by implementing an Adoption Program. Our Adoption Centers are located in retail pet stores whose philosophy agrees with The Rescue House's mission. A list of the adoption centers can be found here: http://www.rescuehouse.org/adoption-centers.html

Our Adoption Process...

All prospective adopters must complete an application and be interviewed as part of the adoption process.
