My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Niko is a beautiful Papillion mix. His coat is silky smooth and he loves for you to pet him. Past times
would include everything between snuggling in a warm blanket, to tug a war with a toy, to a walk in the park.

The Papillion is an energetic soul and can keep up with the most active of children and loves doing so. He is patient, kind, and loyal. He would make sure no stranger will be allowed near without a warning bark. Generally Papillion’s are not a yappers but are good watch dogs, barking only at strangers and strange noises.

He is young and intelligent: he is eager to learn new tricks. Niko would do well with another dog to play with.

A little more about the Papillion:

 Highly Intelligent
 Energetic
 Happy and Alert
 Needs lots of love, exercise and play to avoid unwanted behaviors or anxiety.
 Very affectionate and loyal
 Gentle
 Patient
 Possess a strong desire to please.
 Excellent Watch Dogs
 Good with children and make excellent family dogs
 Perfect for first time dog owners.

If you are interested in meeting Niko, please go to our website and complete an adoption application at: www.lovewoof.org .

Adoption Process:
Once an adoption counselor receives and approves your application, they will contact you (only if you match the animal's needs) to set up an appointment to meet the dog you applied for and/or any of the other dogs in the rescue. If the dog you applied for is not a good match for your particular situation, there might be others that are better matches.

Adoption Fees:
The adoption fee for dogs under a year of age is $320 and $300 for dogs at least 1 year or older. Adoption fees allow WOOF Animal Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay/neuter services) for dogs while we look for their forever homes. The fees also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs that require longer stays in the rescue, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes.

WOOF Animal Rescue, in Fremont CA, does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations and rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed, etc.
