Hi, my name is Charlie.
As you can see, I’m a handsome boy. What you can’t see, is that I’m super lovable. I have some funny quirks that can at times be a little frustrating but I’m working on those. For instance, I might have been a cat in a previous life because I LOOOOOOOOVE chasing the reflection the sun makes off shiny objects. I’m crazy clever and I know that when the sun is out, there’s an opportunity for me to play and I keep a watchful eye on your keys, phone, and anything else you have in your hands and can spend quite some time looking from your hands to the ground to see if you’re willing to play.
I have a protective instinct so I tend to bark when people get close to the car I'm in. I also need time to warm up to strangers. It's better if you let me approach them when I'm ready.
If you decide that you’d like to be my mum or dad, I’ll sleep by your feet when you watch tv or work. If you let me on the bed, I love snuggling. I’m calm, cool and collected in the house. I’m working on bringing that same zen energy to the outdoors but being a hound, my nose gets the best of me at times…err…most of the time.
Things I love are:
* Being kissed and hugged
* Walking through tall grass
* Playing catch.
* Sleeping near you
* Car rides
* Some people
Things I don't love are:
* People I don't know.
* Most kids.
* Dogs (but it's only because I haven't had a lot of practice being around them)
Sometimes I have a lot of beans and it makes it a bit hard for me to walk at your pace so I might tug on the leash a bit but I’m getting lots better.
If you don’t have any other pets or kids and you’re willing to work with me on fixing my little quirks, I’d love to meet you
