Patriot's Story...
Ahhh... who doesn't love a little scruffy?! Patriot is 17 weeks old (as of 8/15/16) and weighs approximately 10 lbs. He was an owner surrender (the owners granddaughter was allergic to him). This guy is ready to find his forever home so he can finally settle down and learn was family is! Patriot is an awesome, spunky little guy. He has a lot of energy and plays well with small and big dogs. He is also great with kids!! Patriot doesn't mind cats for the most part, although he is interested in them. He is crate trained and is still working on housebreaking. Patriot is SOOO very lovable and sweet. If you are interested in adding him to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. He is being fostered in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patriot, a Southington Shih Tzu/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) for sale in Southington, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
