Bert's Story...
Our names are Bert and Ernie. We are sweet, cuddly little boys who need a forever home. We were found sitting in the middle of the street in Great Neck, New York and a concerned lady scooped us up! We were really scared, but this nice lady made sure we were fed and got medical care. My brother Ernie is healthy, but I have Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. No extra medical care is necessary for me, but we thought you should know. Most importantly, we are extremely bonded to each other and need to be adopted together. We will love unconditionally whoever takes us home. If you are interested in learning more about us you can contact HOLLY at hbernsmd@aol.com. Please include your name, address and telephone number.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bert, a Great Neck Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Neck, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Great Neck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Neck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Neck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Neck paves the way for another one to be saved.
