This is how our little Estelle came to us. With a little time and love, she is showing her true colors, and how beautiful they are! A bit on the shy side at first, Estelle is very affectionate and loves to be petted and brushed. Hmm...loves to be brushed, that could be an understatement as to how she really feels about being brushed. The simple act of picking up the brush is enough to get her purring and headbutting the brush in eager anticipation. Start brushing her and she falls on her side and rolls back and forth to ensure you don't miss a spot. It 's rather funny, by rolling around like that she ends up with a lot of static electricity that makes her fur stick out in all different directions - and right after you give her a good brushing!!
Estelle has so many qualities that are endearing. Take for instance her appearance. While Estelle's luminous golden eyes gaze at you intently, you can't help but smile at her white whiskers that stand out in stark contrast to her black face. She looks so serious, but then you notice her white bib and you smile even more! If you're not taken by her at this point, just wait until she meows! As she watches you with her beautiful golden eyes, she opens her mouth to meow. It's not a normal sounding meow mind you. It's a soft, almost hoarse sounding, squeaky meow. You stare at her in disbelief wondering if that sound you heard came from her, when she does it again. By now, you are hooked!
As you can see, there are many reasons to love our Estelle and many reasons to be thankful that she did not find out what euthanasia meant. Don't just take my word for it though...fill out an application and come see for yourself what a treasure Estelle is. I have no doubt that she will work her magic on you as well!
Estelle was returned after 7 years due to the adopters moving to California.
