A little information about Pickles...

Pickles is part of an unwanted litter. She takes time to warm up to people but loves to be held and loves to be carried around. Once she gets to know you, you’re her new best friend. She gets along great with everyone she meets and loves getting outside for playtime. She will make a great addition to any family and with all the attention in her new home she will never meet a stranger. Pickles is a Chihuahua / Terrier Mix and born Mid My. She gets along with cats, dogs and humans of all sizes. If you are interested in meeting me please go to www.homewardboundct.org/want-to-adopt-a-dog?/ and fill out an application today. I’ll be in Guilford, CT for Homeward Bound’s Labor Day Adoption Event.

Pickles will be coming to our next event at:

Guilford Animal Medical Center
1795 Boston Post Road
Guilford, CT 06437
September 3rd & 4th 2016

Event information....

We are open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm. All final decisions are made by the rescues not Homeward Bound volunteers. If you are interested in this dog or any of our dogs please go to www.homewardboundct.org (copy and paste in browser window) and see all of the dogs coming and also fill out an application. Please note that most of these dogs are not in Connecticut and will be arriving the day prior so it is most likely not possible for you to meet them prior to the event.

If you are a first time dog owner we my require a home visit prior to adoption.

If you rent or live in a condo we will require proof that you are able to have a dog. This could be a copy of the lease or condo agreement.

We request you bring all the residents in the household to the event along with any dog in your home for a meet and greet with our trainers.

Per the request of the rescues we may limit adoptions to only Connecticut homes due to the distance and support we give them. This again is strictly the rescues decision and hope you will honor that.

We also require a follow up visit with all families within a couple of months after the adoption.

If you have additional questions about our dogs feel free to contact us. Please understand that we are all volunteers and will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If it is close to our event we are very busy with pre-screening our applicants so please understand if we can't answer all your questions in a timely manner. Our goal is to make sure these dogs go to the best home possible.
