Mike's Story...
Introducing the Brady Bunch litter...Mike, Greg, Bobbie, Alice, Marcia, Jan, and Cindy. These adorable puppies are living in foster homes in the beginning stages of learning puppy manners and housetraining. They are all playful, sweet, and looking for their perfect family.

Puppies need proper training and socialization to grow into fabulous adult dogs. It takes dedication and effort and is a lifelong commitment. Helping Strays recommends socialization and obedience training to encourage good behavior and strengthen the human-animal bond.

Mike's adoption fee is $200; he is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Some of our pets are in foster care. If you are interested in a specific pet, please contact the shelter at (618) 939-7389 to arrange a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mike, a Columbia Beagle/Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Cattle Dog for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Beagle/Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Beagle/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
