Stark's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. To meet Stark, visit the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, 5821 Sweetwater Rd., Bonita 91902.

Stark is a neutered male tan Chihuahua who is 6 months old and weighs 7 pounds. He is very active since he is a pup, and he loves to play with toys. He needs toys to chew to keep him busy. Stark loved being pet by everyone, and he was good with children. Older, gentle kids would be best because of his small size. He seems to like laps and calms down when he is in one. He also loves treats, which should aid in his training..

To meet this adorable little boy, visit the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, 5821 Sweetwater Rd., Bonita 91902. Open Tuesdays - Saturdays, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. Closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stark, a Vista Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Vista, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
