About Me:  As you can see, Tucker is undeniably handsome! Besides that, he is an awesome listener and is a total rock star when it comes to knowing the rules.  He has graduated from dog obedience and is very well trained: potty, kennel, walks AMAZING on a leash, knows come, sit, wait, stay, down, look at me and leave it. His very favorite thing to do is go for a W-A-L-K! He will chug along right by your side, checking in with you regularly. He loves to go-go-go at a nice steady pace. Tucker's personal request is that you LOVE walks if you adopt him. Then it's a toss up between food and snuggles! Tucker is extremely smart, treat motivated, affectionate and love, love, loves cuddle time. Be ready for a big blocky head to rest on your shoulder every single night.

In addition to being affectionate and smart, Tucker has also shown us that he is extremely resilient. See, the first couple years of his life were pretty hard on him. Because of this, he requires that you to earn his trust first so he knows you're safe. Since some wonderful people helped get him into the safety of rescue, he has made great strides, working daily learning to be a calm, confident dog. With slow & calm introductions, he does great meeting new people. If you're patient and caring, I guarantee Tucker will be your lifelong, loyal partner. He just needs someone to give him the chance at a healthy life with a supportive family.

Though he has lived with both small and large dogs before, we feel he would do best in a home as an only pet or with a calm balanced dog and with a dog-savvy, experienced family. Young children not recommended. No known allergies.

Are you the family that has a soft spot for this young gentleman? He would love a forever home that will always have his back and advocate for him. There's nothing more rewarding than helping bring out the best in a dog. We're all excited to see how far he can go! Is it with you?

MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/adopt-a-dog/. A volunteer from Twin Cities Pet Rescue will contact you once your application is reviewed.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!!! Twin Cities Pet Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster home-based organization. We can only rescue as many animals as available foster homes. Please consider saving the life of an animal in need and become a volunteer foster home today. To become a foster, fill out a dog or cat foster application on the Twin Cities Pet Rescue website: www.twincitiespetrescue.org. There is little to no cost to foster an animal. Twin Cities Pet Rescue provides its foster families with food, supplies, and veterinary care for its animals. All you need to do is supply the love!

PLEASE NOTE: Twin Cities Pet Rescue does not adopt to homes further than 60 miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area.

About Twin Cities Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.

Our Adoption Process...

All adopters complete an adoption application. If approved, we arrange a meet and greet. Cats and small animals can be adopted and go home at the time of the meet and greet after the adoption agreement is complete and adoption fee collected (which is variable based on animal type, etc). For dogs, we complete home visits and then finalize the adoption.
