Raine's Story...
Raine is a 4 month old, 18 pound Beagle puppy. She is a happy puppy with a dog park personality. Raine has even convinced the resident dogs in her foster home to play with her and they don’t normally play. She is a really good girl with a huge heart and an adorable underbite than makes it look like she is always smiling.
Raine came into our rescue with her sister Reeta from a high kill shelter in southern Missouri. We don’t think these girls had ever been in a home before. In a matter of hours Raine figured out how to go through a door, what a dog bed was for and what to do with toys. Her foster siblings taught her to do stairs in under 5 minutes. She is a puppy with no fears and loves to learn new things.
Raine is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She is doing really well at her housetraining and is a very fast learner.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raine, a Lisbon Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Lisbon, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Lisbon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lisbon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lisbon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lisbon paves the way for another one to be saved.
