Billy's Story...
Billy is a little brown tabby boy who absolutely adores people and getting tons of petting. He loves to throw himself down on the floor and roll around for more attention. He flops around on his back showing off his tummy and making biscuits with his little paws, he’s a pretty happy cat. He’s always rubbing up against people or things, hoping to get more love and attention. Billy is a big talker too, he enjoys telling you about how his day is going. He likes to give head butts and get scratches on his chin. He has an adorable white spot on his chest, and big, yellow eyes full of love and affection. Billy came to 4Paws from a shelter in central Virginia after being found as a stray. Come and meet Billy, you just might be his new forever family!

Billy was born in August 2015. He’s been neutered, micro-chipped, is up to date on all his shots, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Billy, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
