Hi, I'm Wendy! I was found and rescued from the streets of South Dallas this past summer along with my family (Mommy and my two brothers) Me and my mom were the last two to be rescued and just a couple days after I was rescued, sadly I came down with Parvo. I was in ISO at my vet for 30 days, but because I am a warrior-I kicked parvo to the curb and today I am a parvo survivor and living life to the fullest! I am 6 pounds of pure love and joy. I am as cute as can be and will fit perfectly on your lap. I am shy and will be timid when I first meet you, but if you are patient with me and give me the space I need I will settle in quite nicely and will follow you around everywhere. I love the outdoors, you can say I am one with nature. I will love being in a home with a nice big yard and a secured fence where I can run around and explore in when the weather is nice. When I am not wanting to be outside, I am inside playing with my toys. I LOVE TOYS! Borderline obsessed and can be a toy hoarder too. I will do good with older children, smaller ones might be too much for my timid personality. I do great with furry animals too! Please email my friends if you think I might be a right fit with your family! info@thestreetdogproject.org

XOXO-Wendy

About The Street Dog Project

About Our Rescue Group...

The Street Dog Project is comprised of a small group of volunteers who are passionate about saving street dogs in Dallas, TX. The majority of our team was previously heavily involved at another local street dog rescue but left for various reasons over the years. We wanted to save more lives so "got the band back together". We are an experienced team of rescuers, operating under a new name.

We have a lot of experience capturing elusive street dogs and helping them adjust to life in a loving home.

The dogs are taken to the vet upon rescue so they can be examined, dewormed, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (and treated if positive) and attend to any other medical needs. Life on the streets is tough so a lot of the dogs we take in have beyond basic medical needs. Heartworm, mange, leg and eye injuries are some of the most common medical conditions we encounter.
We are an all-volunteer organization and rely on donations to save lives. Donations can be made by clicking the "donate now" button on our Facebook page or visiting www.thestreetdogproject.org. Thanks for your support!
