Peggy Carter's Story...
Hiya, I’m Peggy Carter. I’m a 4yr old polite girl who is already spayed. Yes, I already have a last name, but I’m still looking for a family. My person brought my babies and I here they were very young; she was unable to have us in her home that she was renting. Life has been a little bit of an adventure since then. There was a very nice lady who let us stay with her for awhile. She was super nice were able to stay until the babies were old enough to venture into the world. They have since found their homes and I couldn’t be prouder of them. I hope to find that forever home very soon. I’m very polite and not as rowdy as some of the younger cats here, so it’s a struggle to get attention from visitors. I do like to play and I like to cuddle…so it can be lonely all on my own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peggy Carter, a Murphysboro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Murphysboro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Murphysboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murphysboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murphysboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murphysboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
