If you're looking for tall, dark and handsome, I'm your man. Hi there I'm Oliver and...ok, I may not be tall but I am dark and handsome. I'm new here at rescue and once the ladies found out I was single, they were just swooning over me like I was THE hound dog that Mr. Elvis Presley sang about, but I'm not, I'm just me, Oliver. The guys here are always asking me "Hey Oliver, what's your secret?" Honestly, I don't really have one, so I just tell them to hang with me and the ladies will see how cool they are too. I'm still pretty young only about 3 or 4 but I'm ready to settle down, single life as a handsome man is just too exhausting for this guy. I can't wait until I find my one and only forever family and can say "Hi, I'm Oliver and this is my family" My adoption fee is $200.00, if you would like to adopt me, please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org. for adoption and foster applications.

**An application and home visit are required**

All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.

~Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.~

Thank You for choosing to adopt.

About Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE)

About Our Rescue Group...

Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE) is an organization that is dedicated to saving animals in rural areas, mainly in 'pounds' and shelters, both high-kill and no-kill. There tends to be a higher overpopulation rate in rural areas due to lack of animal ordinances and alteration to prevent unwanted litters. Many animals are 'dumped' on country roads left to parish or end up at the local pound or animal shelter if they have an empty kennel. Many of these animals have a limited number of days before they are euthanized. In addition to placing animals in foster and adoptive homes, networking with rescues to assist in placement and adoption of animals, RARE also performs fundraisers for spay/neuters and other vetting to prevent further overpopulation and promote quality of life for the animals we save.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees cover all vetting for the animals in our care, including vaccinations, Heart-worm test, Heart-worm treatment if needed, Feline Leukemia test, spay/neuter and may vary, depending on species.

Fosters and Adopters will be required to complete an application with personal and Veterinary references. A home visit is also required.
RESCUES, please contact us regarding pull information or pull fee, if any, depending on vetting already provided by RARE.
