Houdie was so scared when he came to his first adoption event -- he was trembling and could hardly walk -- just clinging to the ground and then the first person who gave him a hug. But, within about 10 minutes, he realized he was quite a celebrity and everyone was oogling over him and giving him hugs. He hugged right back and gave a tail waggle and a wiggle and a smile to everyone he met.
This darling boy gets along with other dogs too and was even friendly with the little tots who he met at the event. Houdie was stray for some time, found once, escaped from original finder, then found by someone else and we took him in for some needed care (he had an existing eye boo-boo). We've spent a good deal of time looking for an original owner and sadly no one has claimed him.
The good news is he's done seeing the vet now (he says), and he's quite ready to be adopted to find a new family to love him. He's a super sweet dog with an absolutely precious face and deameanor. Neutered, vaccinated, vet checked, microchipped; his adoption fee is $240.
Meet Houdie on Sunday at the
