Harry's Story...
Meet Harry!
Harry is a teenager in good health. He is sweet and good natured, a friendly fella who loves scritches and steps up easily. Harry is quite a talker, as well as a squawker, greeting you with a sweet "Good Morning!", serenading you with a little "Broadway Time!!" (in full vibrato), doing his best impression of a 50ft tall angry crow "CAAAW CAAAW CAAAW". Harry is bright and curious, learning to play with toys and shredable materials. He loves fresh food of all kinds, especially sugar snap peas and cherry tomatoes. Harry would thrive in a house where he spends most of his time out of his cage and has ample space to play.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harry, a St. Louis Amazon was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Amazon for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Amazon from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Amazon breeders who help with Amazon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
