Hilda is a beautiful girl who arrived already spayed and knows basic commands. But she was also emaciated, so had been on her own for some time. This smart girl is great with other dogs, friendly, and sits politely for treats. Because she was starved, she is very focused on food right now and will grab what she can and guard her dish from other dogs (but not people). This concern with food should fade as she learns she will not go without again. She needs a home that will make this promise to her, and keep it, for life!
During her time on her own, sweet Hilda contracted heartworm disease. Please talk to the shelter and your vet about treatment options. Hilda deserves to be healed and live the good life!
