Colette: My name is Colette but my fosters should have named me "Roo". I'm almost 3 years old and am a very tall chihuahua mix. Its not easy for me to admit... but I'm a face-licker. I can't help it. I want to kiss you all over your face All. of. the. Time. I have no real reason for doing this except that I want you to love me as much as I love you. I want to be in your lap, snuggle with you in bed, carried around, lay my head on your neck, snuggle your belly, and longingly look into your eyes if you stop giving me attention. I'm so grateful that I'm not an outdoor dog anymore and I will prove it to you everyday. I did have to be territorial when it came to other dogs since I lived outside my entire life. But if they leave me alone, I am not bothered by them. Although, I'd prefer to be an only dog. I use my piddle pads at my new home because I don't really understand that peeing is for outside. I can use the doggie door to explore the backyard. I can dig out of fences but prefer to climb out of them (wire) like a ninja warrior, so please don't leave me unattended outdoors. If you come and meet me, you'll see how much I'll love you the moment you snuggle me. Are you my forever home?

About The Bella Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

Every year thousands of animals are euthanized or sent home to die because the people who love them cannot afford the cost of veterinary care. Stray and abandoned animals have even fewer options when they are brought into a clinic or veterinary office with no owner to pay for their care.

At The Bella Foundation, we believe that every animal should receive the best possible care regardless of the owner's ability to pay. When an owner brings an animal into a clinic for care and cannot afford the cost, the attending veterinarian can contact The Bella Foundation for assistance. If assistance is given, the owner must agree to volunteer at least 8 hours of their time at a local animal shelter. Stray or abandoned animals are cared for with no stipulation attached.

The Bella Foundation takes the placement of animals in homes very seriously and our goal is to do everything possible to match the right animal with the right animal. Our adoption application can be found on our website.
