Shasta's Story...
My name is Shasta! I'm a spunky girl and I still have funny puppy energy! I only go to the bathroom outside now cause I get a treat when I come back in. Yum! I like to run and chase almost anything, especially pesky birds or squirrels. I don't mind being in my crate if you're not home or sleeping. I like to be with my humans but I can entertain myself with my toys too. My foster mom has taught me that if I listen and do what she says I get treats and cuddles and I really like those!!! I like my foster dog sister and we have fun playing in the back yard. I love playing with toys. Toys are fun and so are treats! I hope there are lots of trips to the pet store in my future with my new forever family. I can't wait for you to email info@habitat4paws.org to find out how to make sweet and fun little me a part of your family.

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the Adopt page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shasta, a McKinney Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
