Kato's Story...
Meet Kato! Loving, loyal, and always happy. Kato is an affection, silly guy. He's pretty sure that his life's purpose is to love on people and play with dogs. We think he may be right! Kato lost one of his back legs in a car accident, but it doesn't slow him down any. He still cruises around with a smile on his face, eager and ready to participate in whatever activity you are doing. Kato loves car rides, going for walks, meeting new people and doggy friends and trips to the park. Ready to take a long hike? He's in! Wanting to watch your favorite show on the couch? He's in! More than anything, Kato is looking for companionship and love. Having a buddy to pal around with is his ideal day. Though he's a pretty social guy, he still would love space and a home that isn't overly busy in terms of energy and noise. Great with dogs and very respectful. Age 3 years. 77 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kato, a Washoe Valley Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Washoe Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Washoe Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washoe Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washoe Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washoe Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
