Archie's Story...
Archie is a truly beautiful boy with a calm, quiet, and patient demeanor. He is gentle, very mellow and loving. Archie can be a little shy at first but wants very much to be with you and do what you're doing. He rides beautifully in the car and waits patiently for you when you get ready to go. He is easy to walk on leash and likes to go slow and follow his leader. Archie would love a family of his own. He'd do best in a calm, quiet home with another dog that shares his laid-back energy level. We don't know if Archie has ever lived with cats before but suspect he'd be OK. Age 6 years old. 29 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archie, a Washoe Valley Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Washoe Valley, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Washoe Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washoe Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washoe Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washoe Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
