Mabel's Story...
MABEL
PIT MIX
67 POUNDS
HEARTWORM POSITIVE, undergoing treatment
DOB: 7/19/13

Hi there! My name is Mabel and I'm one lucky girl. Someone found me in the middle of the highway, in the middle of the night. I was almost run over. When the person stopped, I hid under their car until they invited me inside and took me to the shelter. I was in pretty bad shape, but the vet cleaned me up and now I'm a HAPPY girl! I love car rides, kisses, snuggles, and playing in the park. I was obviously someone's dog because I love to be around people. Now I'm looking for a family that will treat me like a loving member of the family instead of leaving me outside to wander and fend for myself. Being with people is what I love best.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mabel, a St. Francisville Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog for sale in St. Francisville, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in St. Francisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Francisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Francisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Francisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
