My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Martha tends to hang out in the back of her kennel, away from all the hubbub, and she lies so still and quietly that you forget, for several minutes, that she is even there. When Martha is led from her kennel, down the middle aisle to go outside, she wags her head from side to side, like a bobble dog, glancing quietly at her kennel mates while her soft, shiny, black butt jiggles from side to side. There is so much to love about this senior gal and no matter how fiercely the other dogs bark at her, Martha could care less; her sweet, laid back personality calmly stays the course. Martha is an older black lab mix; she was brought to Tri-County Animal Rescue Center as a stray so her story is a mystery to us, but we wish she could talk, because it’s clear she has lots of stories to tell. Martha will fit right in with someone who relishes a slower pace and who appreciates the value of a life that has weathered its share of ups and downs. Puppies can be highly over-rated! Martha is an older but wiser dog who will bring a calm and steady joy into your life that is worth any puppy’s weight in gold. To spend some happy, quiet time with Martha contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center on Facebook, or call 814-918-2032, or email: contactus@Tricounty-arc.org
