About Wayward Paws, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Wayward Paws, Inc. is a no-kill cat rescue and adoption organization. Our mission is to slow the over-population of cats, through spaying, neutering, TNR (trap/neuter/return), fostering and finding permanent homes for homeless cats/kittens. Founded in 2006, we are a small grass-roots non-profit organization that is made up of a core group of dedicated volunteers who work diligently to find forever homes for homeless cats/kittens!

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our cats/kittens are cared for by our volunteers in their own homes. When our cats/kittens are ready to find forever homes, we place them at our Adoption Room inside the PetCo - DeWitt (Empire Plaza) on Erie Blvd. Syracuse, NY 13214. You can visit them during store hours. We hold adoption events @ PetCo - DeWitt on the 1st Saturday of every month from 12-3pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Our Adoption fee is $100 for kittens and $65 for adults cats. This adoption fees includes spay/neuter, rabies & series of distemper shots, FELV/FIV negative and treated for worms, fleas & ear mites. Anyone interested in adopting our cats/kittens must complete and sign our Adoption Application. We require two personal references (excluding family) as well as a veterinary health reference for all pets in the home. If and when you are approved to adopt a cat/kitten, we also require that you sign our Adoption agreement.
