Carlito's Story...
Say hello to Carlito! Carlito was dumped in East Dallas but that doesn't get him down. He doesn't meet a stranger and still loves humans so much. He is wonderfully playful with kids, small dogs, and large dogs. He crate trained in one day and sleeps 8 hours at night without any whining or accidents. He is close to being leash trained and is very smart. He is energetic and curious and a total love bug once he feels safe. He was obviously very hungry because he is protective of food and should be fed away from other animals, until you can train him otherwise. He will make a fantastic companion for most anyone and we need to find him a home ASAP! He needs a foster home immediately as well!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carlito, a Dallas Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
