DIO: 2 YR OLD WOLFHOUND/LAB MIX Great with all people & kids Okay with female dogs; not males partially potty trained

Dio is such a handsome boy! His unique good looks insure that he is noticed wherever he goes; he loves people so adores all the attention he gets. He definitely is a social butterfly! Because he was dumped in a rural subdivision, he has some mild separation anxiety. He doesn't get destructive but would be happiest in a home where someone is home with him the majority of the time. Because of his past abandonment, he worries that his people will never come back for him. Dio does best with female dogs; male dogs seem to be very reactive to him, probably because of his large stature combined with a somewhat dominant disposition. He would be fine as an only dog since people are what he is most interested in and he would thrive in a home where he was able to get all the attention he craves. Dio is truly an amazing boy; whoever adopts him is going to be very lucky indeed! His adoption fee is $200; he's neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dio, a Indianapolis Irish Wolfhound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Irish Wolfhound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Irish Wolfhound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Irish Wolfhound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Irish Wolfhound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
