My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucky is a 4-year old, 13 lb shih tzu mix whose previous owner passed away and was abandoned because his owner did not have family to care for him. He tried to fix Lucky's eye which had been injured but without follow-up medical care, an infection developed.

Lucky was found by animal control in Riverside, brought to the shelter and scheduled to be euthanized due to his medical condition. One of our fosters rescued him an hour before his time was up! He had surgery to remove his bad eye, his other eye is healthy and he is an active dog that can see just fine.

Lucky is a little shy but very sweet and wants to be loved. He is ready to find his perfect person. If you are interested in him, please complete the on-line application as he does not always attend the weekly adoption event on Saturdays at PETCO.
