Facts about Lumi, Hamlet and Boss Hog

  • Species: Pig (Farm)
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Medium
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10461512

We seem to be in a new situation for us here at Ozark Haven.  We have two red MINIATURE pigs and one small yellow spotted pig all  born roughly around early May if our info was correct.  Guesstimated to stay small (45 lbs) but so far are super smaller then that.  These little darlings were not well prepared for life as house pigs and have had some bad luck follow them.   They are neutered and were done super young.

These piggies will be seeking a calm, quiet, all adult, pig savvy home.  Seems like a tall order I know but we must not let these piggy kids have any more trouble come their way.

**They are MINI pigs so aren't really set up for extreme heat, cold or wetness.

**They are PET pigs.

**They also need some way of going outside into a secure area to root, snort about and potti.

**In foster care they have a laundry room attached to the house that leads out into a large play       area.  So basically they are indoor/outdoor at will all day.

We have these shots, will share as we learn more and please ANY piggy parents who want to take a troubled youngster in and show them the life of a happy, well behaved house piggy PLEASE drop a line!!!!

About Ozark Haven Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are small group of individuals in Southern Missouri dedicated to the rehabilitation of homeless animals. We help all creatures, promote kindness to animals, respect for the earth and hope to launch a campaign in the next rescue year to combat the pet overpopulation problem in Southern Missouri.
The attitude towards animals here is not a good one; they are viewed and treated, mostly, as chattel. When they are no longer cute, or useful, they are dumped, shot, or just let go. We serve poor, rural communities, whose people do not have the money to pay for their own medical care, let alone veterinary expenses for their pets. Spaying and neutering is not the norm here at all, so we have a huge population of unwanted dogs and cats.

Our Adoption Process...

We do have an adoption process requiring an application. We do require our adoptive homes have strong and verifiable spay/neuter histories that we are able to confirm via our Application Processing team. We will not tolerate or entertain unaltered pets. We are available to answer any questions at all by way of email at or
