Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ROXIE is a 3 year old spayed yellow female Lab who weighs 44 pounds. She is a happy dog who likes to be around you and to be petted and played with. She loves the water and to go swimming, she lived close to the river and went swimming every chance she could. Went for rides in the cab of owner's pickup truck every time he went out. Went for walks and played with owner twice a day. Roxie would like a home that has a fenced yard so she can play and run around. Was around owners grand kids ages 5 to 15 and was very good with them. Good with other dogs. Was around outside cats and didn't chase them. Knows sit, stop and come.Roxy comes from the country and has no exposure to big cities. Placements is limited to single family stand-alone homes in a suburban neighborhood, or rural area. Hasn’t been on lead much, is better with an Easy Walk Harness. She was inside outside dog, inside at night and outside during the day Roxie is approved for kids ages 10+.
Update: Roxie is a beautiful 3 year old, but she is a puppy at heart. Roxie loves her chew toys and makes these funny, little sounds while she plays with them. There isn't a person or dog she doesn't like. She loves to be petted and sleep with you at night.

From shelter manager - Roxy is a beautiful 3 year old female who was adopted in May 2014 to an older couple but the husband recently passed away and wife walks with a walker and could not give her the care and attention she needs. Roxy is very sweet and quiet. Knows some commands.
