My story

Meet GEORGE CLOONEY! This sweetheart is a 1-1/2 year old, male, 55 lb, Mountain Cur / Labrador mix. Not that we have ever met George Clooney, but we imagine him to be sweet and fun yet know when to get down to business. That is our Georgie's personality. He is the sweetest of the sweet! He can be playful and is puppy-like, but if you let him know it's time to calm down, he stops. Georgie LOVES people! All he wants to do on his walk is meet every single person that walks by him. He just wants love and will sit right beside you and lean into you. Georgie is great with other dogs and is currently living at a doggie daycare. He is looking for a family that is moderately active (no need for a running partner here) and fun, so good long walks are all he needs. He really just wants to snuggle. Georgie longs for direction and is eager to please, so he has been learning commands in a flash. He knows "sit", "down", "leave it", and "wait" and has learned to walk nicely beside you on his walks. While Georgie is great with people and loves kids, he is not a fan of having his feet touched, so only kids over 10 years old would be a good fit for him.

Our precious Georgie came from Kentucky where he was SHOT in the back end that took a chunk out of his hip (see above). When we saw that horrific picture, we knew we had to save him! How awful to have that happen and be on death row! Georgie healed beautifully and will always have a slight dent in that area, but it does not appear to affect him in any way. This poor, terrified pup has been through excruciating pain, yet he is trusting and loyal with a kind heart. He has beautiful markings with gold flecks that are captured by the sunlight, but one look into those melancholy eyes, and he will melt your heart. Georgie is smiley and happy and looking forward to starting life in his Forever Family where he will never be hurt again.

***TRAINING IS MANDATORY FOR ALL LLR ADOPTABLES!!

NOTE: We do NOT adopt out of state. Our range is no further than 50 miles from Chicago. This is because we PERSONALLY do home visits for every single dog / puppy. Exceptions ONLY in certain cases where a sweetie has issues (medical / behavioral / special needs) and we have had him / her for a longer time. We will then travel to the Moon for a Forever Family!
