Smokey's Story...
Smokey is a sleek, silky soft black panther! He loves other cats, and is good with dogs. He is a little skittish when first meeting people, but warms right up and is a wonderful calm loving boy! He loves to play with the laser pointer, feather toys, small mice toys and other cats. He also is very gentle if you scruff him up and play with your hands. He LOVES to have his soft tummy rubbed. He is not a lap cat yet, but definitely wants to hang out with his human, include napping right next to you on the couch or at your feet. Smokey is 11 months old, neutered, litter box trained, fully vetted and ready to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a Wichita Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wichita, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wichita.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wichita already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wichita breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wichita paves the way for another one to be saved.
