Dora's Story...
My name is Dora! I'm a pretty lucky lil kittyl cuz I started out being very afraid. I was hungry and very skinny after being abandoned. My tail was full of lil pickers and I had a respiratory infection. Some nice people took me in and fostered me and got me all happy and healthy. I'm ready now for my own special family to love and snuggle with. I can' wait!!! See that is why I'm so lucky. I'm all "fixed" and up to date on my vaccines. Would you like to come and visit me. I'm sure if you do we'll become fast friends!! I am affectionate and love people. Oh and I'm not exactly sure how old I am, but the vet thinks I'm about 1.5 years old. Luv, Dora

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dora, a Bay City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bay City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bay City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bay City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bay City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bay City paves the way for another one to be saved.
