Did you know that Rolo means famous wolf? I'm not saying I have the characteristics of a wolf, but I do have piercing eyes that is the first thing everyone seems to notice about me, and then they see my shiny black coat and well its love at first sight. I am 2-years-old and love to play - I can be a little rough and I have lots of energy, so we'll need to figure that out together - maybe you have a kitty at home that needs a friend? I love people, yup really do and will lick you clean and head butt you and purr and purr.  I'm not shy nor a picky eater, but do love tuna and toys on strings. Come meet me and I'll show you my little white bib!

If you're interested in Rolo, stop by the shelter during our adoption hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6-8pm and Saturdays from 10am-4pm or email our Feline Manager at

About Quincy Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The Quincy Animal Shelter is a Volunteer-run organization. It was incorporated in November 1999 as a non-profit Massachusetts charity. It is also a recognized charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. Since 1999 the Quincy Animal Shelter has placed more than 7,000 cats and dogs into loving and forever homes.

As a "no kill" shelter, we make every effort to find a great home for every animal in our care.

Delivering this type of care involves many Volunteers (currently more than 120), an active and dedicated management, and a lot of money. Currently we need to raise over $150,000 every year in order to keep doing what we do to help the dogs and cats in our care.
Our capacity at the Shelter is limited to a maximum of 12 dogs and 25 cats, depending on ages and condition of the cats. We have dreams of a larger facility and a larger budget in the near future...
