About Athens-Limestone Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

On Saturdays we are open from 9 AM to 12 PM

Our Adoption Process...

The fee for adopting a dog is $110.00, no matter the age or gender of the pet. This fee covers the cost of the animal to be spayed/neutered & vaccines: DA2PP, Bordatella, and Rabies. The adoption fee also covers a fecal exam for worms and a heart worm test!

The fee for cats is $110.00 covers spay/neuter, and age appropriate vaccines.

It is very important that you understand that you CANNOT take pets from the shelter and breed them. Most of the animals came in as strays, therefore, we do not have any background or genetic information on them. Breeding these pets would not be in their best interest nor yours. Also, a Law was just passed in Alabama which requires that EVERY animal, adopted from a shelter, MUST be spayed or neutered!!
