Is your dance card full? If not, we have the dog for you. Meet our awesome 10 year old senior Ollie, although diagnosed with a condition that does not bother or cause him any pain, Ollie has quite an array of dance moves. He has balance and stability issues that will most likely remain with him the rest of his life. Ollie's answer to that is just roll with it! He has completely adjusted and moved on with his life, able to get around and swagger with the rest of the pack. Ollie is very low maintenance and energy, and would gladly spend all his waking hours on a lap soaking up belly rubs and pets. His vision and hearing are good, his appetite is normal, and he does best with several potty breaks during the day. He is low energy around all types of dogs and seems to be able to hang with any type of crowd ! He sleeps in a crate at night to minimize accidents and is VERY quiet with only occasional barks. He is really worth the look, he's sure to bring a smile to your face !

Due to Ollie's condition and the fact that he had suffered (and recovered from vestibular) our veterinarians felt it unwise to put Ollie under anesthesia so he is not neutered and did not receive a dental which is customary with our seniors. To keep Ollie healthy his teeth should be brushed or be treated with canine dental wipes or rinse.

About Senior Dog Haven & Hospice, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small, dedicated group of fosters and volunteers. We strive to improve the lives of senior dogs who find themselves without a family to care for them anymore. We do not have a facility. Our dogs live in our homes as members of our families. We provide care, comfort, companionship and, most of all, unconditional love. We have worked in senior rescue for years, and see the continuing and growing need to get them out of shelters where they are often euthanized because of their age and/or medical reasons, or from owners that find themselves in crisis and no longer able to care for their companions (nursing home, illness, abusive situations, etc).

Senior Dog Haven and Hospice is a registered 501(c)3. All donations to our rescue are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
