Pumpkin's Story...
Pumpkin is a beautiful orange tiger tabby. She is a special kitty since orange tiger tabbies are usually male, but she is definitely a sweet little girl. She is very easy-going. She loves to be held and petted. In fact, she will let you know when she needs some loving by rubbing up against you. She would do best in a home where she has some company during the day, either two-legged or four-legged or both. She is getting along well with the other cats and kids in the foster home. She even eyes the family dog with interest. She will just make herself right at home in your family. Won't you consider her as a wonderful addition to your life?

Pumpkin’s estimated date of birth is 11/27/15. Her adoption fee of $115 includes her vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
