Tucker's Story...
Hello There...Tucker here and I'm a really sweet and lovable guy. I recently went on a Canines for Cardio walk and my Walker said I'm a high energy guy. Well, I am a Lab puppy after all and it was so much fun being out there going to the park and back with the other dogs and walkers. I didn't chase other animals and loved giving kisses. And her last comment was the best of all - I'm a "great dog"!! My profile indicates that I didn't really get much, if any, exercise in my previous home. My person also indicated that I had accidents inside but I was only taken out twice a day. I need a routine, scheduled meal times and lots of positive reinforcement when I'm successful. I need to be taken out very frequently at first and once I'm potty trained I'll need to be taken out at least 5 times a day. (first thing in the morning, about 30 minutes after meals, as soon as you get home from work/etc., and then last thing before bedtime.) And I need daily exercise and play time WITH my person to be my best self. Yes, I know it's a big responsibility. And if you think I might be worth it, please come visit me soon.My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, up to date immunizations, nationally recognized microchip and more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tucker, a Evansville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
