Posting Date: 8/20/16
Approximate Age At Posting: 1 year

Hi, my name is Gidget.

I'm a beautiful black kitty with white patches on my chest and belly, and big green eyes. When I came to the shelter, I had been abandoned as a pregnant mama. Being such a tiny girl myself, I had a tough time but two of my beautiful kittens made it. Now I'm spayed and ready for a loving home of my own. I am friendly and love being petted, and I am tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Please come visit me.

Shelter hours for visitation are Thursdays 11:00 am - 2:00 pm and Saturdays 10:00 am - 2:00 pm . The shelter is closed for Holidays.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a Greenfield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Greenfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Greenfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greenfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greenfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greenfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
