Meet Rum

Rum is a 7 year old, 8 pound, neutered purebred Maltese who had to be rehomed due to severe allergies of a baby in the house and to no fault of his own.

Rum is a very happy go lucky 8 lb little ball of love! Rum likes it best when he gets to snuggle with his humans but is happy to be curled up on the couch as well. Rum absolutely loves to go for his morning walks and has a lot of peppy energy! He has the cutest little underbite you've ever seen! Rum is great with other small dogs and also does well with respectful older dogs. Rum plays often his foster brother (8lb Chihuahua) they just love each other and have no issues.
Rum is very spunky and loves to go for walks. Rum's vision is not great however he has no issues navigating through the house and on his walks. He even joins his foster Mom in daily hikes with 5+ dogs and he follows us like an old pro!
When out on walks Rum sometimes barks at other dogs and people but we have been working through that very well. Can we really blame him? He has minimal vision from damage to his eye due to excessive scratching. His diet previous was not addressed and now that he is eating a healthy balanced raw diet Rum is thriving.

Rum has had blood work done and he is in good health, we have given him a dental that resulted in removing a large number of rotting teeth. He is now happy and pain free :)
Rum was house trained as well as pee-pad trained, we are currently training Rum to only potty outside and he has been doing truly amazing!

Rum is currently eating a raw diet as he does have some allergies, we will be looking for a home that can continue to feed him his fresh healthy diet. Don't worry if you're new to raw, we will help you along the way! Rum is being fostered in a home with 2 large dogs and 1 small dog and he is doing great with everyone! Rum is also sharing his foster home with 2 cats who he has no issues with. Rum lived his previous life with young children and did very well with them however we would love a home with older children.

Rum is looking for his perfect match, someone who is home more often than not and committed to following through with the successful plan we have created for him.
This includes:
Feeding a fresh raw diet
Supplementing with probiotics (cheap and easy to administer)

This is an amazing result from the dog we received at intake almost 5 months ago. He has been through a lot in his 7 years and is now learning what a pain free life is like and he is an absolute sweet heart.

About Revolutionary Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

My name is Kerry and I began this journey 6 years ago when I quit my job to become a fulltime dog walker. I now have an employee and we offer all kinds of services including training, boarding, nutrition counselling and pack walks. During my time in this roll I have encountered many people looking to rehome their dogs. Whether they be clients, friends or friends of clients I found myself seeing these amazing dogs go without homes. So, I thought, I can most certainly find a PERFECT home for this dog. Not just a home.
So I started taking in dogs in need. One at a time. In my house 1-on-1 positive reinforcement training, a healthy home prepared diet and lots and lots of exercise!
We believe in giving all we have to the dog we have at the time, this includes any and all Vetting.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Dogs can be met on request through Kerry after filling out an adoption application. Please understand that our dogs are in foster care with volunteers who all donate their time so we ask that you fill out an adoption application prior. This way we can get a better idea of the dog best for you and your family.

Please no phone calls; but feel free to email

Meeting any and all Families Members
This includes other animals such as dogs, cats, birds, bunnies etc.

Trial Adoption
This takes as long as necessary. We are never in a rush to re-home a dog.
