Nova Rain's Story...
I was a very skinny girl when a local shelter found me. It didn't seem that my owners had fed me well at all. When I arrived at that shelter I was scared to death, but all I really wanted was someone to take me away from the barking dogs and love on me. Then a nice lady from the Fort Wayne Pit Bull Coalition came to meet me. She knew as soon as we were outside of the kennels that I was one amazing girl. We spend some time together practicing sit and down and walking nice on a leash. That was fun, but what I really wanted was to sit on her lap and get lots and lots of pets. Then I was taken to my foster home! A REAL home! I have just blossomed and am a happy girl. I am ready to be in my forever home with my forever family who will never let me starve again. I am a young girl at just about 1 year old. You can fill out an application to meet me at www.fwpbc.com
All pets adopted are up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on heartworm/flea prevention. Adoption fee for most pets is $150 which helps to cover the costs associated with the vaccines, surgeries, etc. If you are interested in adoption, you will need to fill out an adoption application to begin the process. We will also do a home check and all members of the family, including other dogs, are required to meet the pet before adoption to ensure a great match. Adopters are then required to sign an adoption contract. Adopters are required to keep their new pet up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, and see a veterinarian at least once yearly.
