Important Note

BOB & OLIVIA near KANSAS CITY is best friends with OLIVIA & BOB near KANSAS CITY. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
BOB & OLIVIA ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER! They are being fostered in Prairie Village, Kansas. If you are interested in making them a part of your family, our adoption application can be found on our website at or inquiries can be directed to Jan at

Bob and Olivia are an irresistibly sweet little couple, who have lived most of their lives together, and are totally devoted to each other. Where one is, the other is sure to be nearby. We are sure they would hug each other if they could, but rest assured they have more than enough love in their sweet little hearts to share with the lucky family who welcomes them into their heart and home! That family will be reminded each and every day of the simple things in life that matter most!

Bob loves to play, and nothing is cuter than his little play stance with his butt up in the air and his little bob of a tail wagging wildly. Olivia is more demure and lady like, preferring to watch Bob's antics from the sidelines, but at the end of the day, when the family is relaxing in the living room, both are ready for snuggles with the family and lots of hugs and kisses!

Because it was not possible in their previous home to run and explore outdoors, since coming into rescue Bob and Olivia have developed a love for running freely in the fenced backyard of their foster home, exploring every nook and cranny, and sunning themselves in the grass! Nothing would make them happier than to have a securely fenced yard with lots of green grass in their new home!

Bob is 7 yrs.old and 15 lbs. Olivia is 8 yrs. old and 8 lbs. Both need to lose a couple of pounds, but with their foster family's help, those pounds will melt off in no time at all!

Both are doing great brushing up on their house breaking skills, and are now letting their foster mom and dad know when they need to go outside. They will sleep in a crate at night, but nothing would make them happier than sharing the big bed at night with their family.

This adorable little couple are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, had recent dentals, are heart worm negative, on monthly heart worm preventative, and micro chipped.

We never place dogs in homes reliant on electric or invisible fencing to contain pets. Fencing of this type may or may not keep a dog in the yard, nor does this type of fencing protect pets from predators, free roaming dogs, or people who may enter the yard. Should there be a power outage, the fence would be rendered useless. If a pet were to panic and run through the barrier and take an electrical jolt from the fence, that pet would not be inclined to return home, and could be lost forever.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.

About National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc. - Rocky Mountain Region

About Our Rescue Group...

National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 not-for-profit rescue organization. We maintain a nationwide network of volunteer foster homes for Brussels Griffons who have been abandoned, lost, abused or for other reasons must be re-homed.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not hold public adoption events, nor do we have a shelter facility where walk-in meet and greets are possible.

Each of our rescued Brussels Griffons are instead lovingly cared for in the private homes of our nationwide coast-to-coast network of unpaid and very dedicated volunteers who rescue Griffs in need.

Our adoptable Griffs live with our volunteer foster families for as long as it is necessary to find the perfect forever home for each and every one of our adoptable Griffs.

Many of our volunteers work full or part-time jobs, and have family obligations, along with caring for their own Griffs and the foster Griffs in their homes, so please be patient with us.

Our Adoption Process...

Please keep in mind that the adoption process is not always a speedy one, but we can assure you a Brussels Griffons is well worth the wait!

The first step in the inquiry and adoption process is to fill out our adoption application, which will assist us in becoming better acquainted with you, and achieving our first and foremost goal of matching our rescued Griffs with a forever home which best fits the needs of the Griff, and the life style of the adoptive family.

Our adoption application can be found at

Foster Applications".

If an adoption application is tentatively approved, an appointment for a pre-adoption home visit will be made.

Upon approval of an adoption application, a legally binding adoption contract is signed by the applicant agreeing to specific terms of care for the dog, and specific situations when the adoptive family must contact NBGR after the adoption.

National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc. maintains a nation wide network of volunteer foster homes who care for our rescued Brussels Griffons until their perfect forever home is found.

National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc., as well as most rescues ask for an adoption donation. NBGR donations can range between $300 and $500 dollars, depending on the age, health and emotional condition of the dog. We do offer reduced suggested donations for older or special needs animals.

Your adoption donation is tax deductible. National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 not for profit rescue organization.

Adoption donations are deposited into our general bank account, and used to cover veterinary treatment as well as general expenses for any Griff coming into our rescue program.

All National Brussels Griffon Rescue's officers, rescue coordinators, and foster families are volunteers, and are not paid for their time or services.

We do not place our adoptable Griffs in forever homes on a "first come-first serve basis". Each of our rescued Griffs have individual needs, activity levels and may require certain lifestyles, which our volunteer foster home families become intimately familiar with.

If an adoption application is submitted for a particular Griff which does not appear to be a compatible match for the Griff or the hopeful family, the adoption application is placed in the available applicants section of our data base until the ideal match is found for the family's needs, lifestyle and activity level, and of course the perfect match is found for one of our very deserving rescued Griffs.
