If you're searching for a devoted and loving best friend....Ethan is the pup you want to have around! Ethan, at just 18 - 24 months old and 25 lbs (the perfect size for hiking and outdoor fun), is just naturally a lover ....when he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt. Ethan is a truly beautiful Cavalier (love his beautiful feathered legs) mixed with a Corgi. Ethan has all the traits that make these very smart and personality-plus dogs two of the most popular breed mixes around.
Ethan enjoys his time with his foster mom so much that he joins her just about everywhere she goes...it's important to Ethan to be a true best friend! He loves his people more than anything and would definitely win a lap-dog (or couch hogger) award. Ethan cuddles close on the couch with his beautiful head draped over his favorite person's leg...an occasional kiss from Ethan is inevitable. He's a sensitive guy and derives so much joy from his time spent with kind, dog-loving people.
Ethan is a young, healthy guy who will love his family with all his heart. He would enjoy another kind and gentle dog to play with (although if his family is loving and present, Ethan would do fine alone as well). He would love nothing more than to lie in the sunshine enjoying a beautiful day with a doggie or human friend. Ethan would have so much fun exploring and taking long walks along the Colorado trails. He is always open to new activities...just say the word and up he jumps for a car ride or just a sociable walk around the neighborhood.
Ethan's foster mom had the following to say to brag about this sweet Cavalier/Corgi:
Ethan is a stunning Cavalier mix (or so he's been identified by the Texas vets) with a beautiful face and the prettiest eyes ever (his photos don't do him justice..he's gorgeous). Ethan is 18 - 24 months old, weighs 25 lbs and just gets smarter and more engaging every single day (but I'm sure I'm biased :-)).
Ethan is an extremely affectionate and loving dog! I would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling) or active retirees who have the time (maybe a positive reinforcement group class?) and love for a very loyal and kind dog. I'd hate to see Ethan left alone all day while his family works full-time. I think he's too sensitive for that. He's such an amazing dog and just the right size and temperament to accompany his people just about anywhere.
Farfel's Rescue would like to see Ethan in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of hugs. A continuing group training class promotes great behavior and confidence for a young guy just learning about the world.
Ethan appears to be a lightly shedding pup. He will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his amazing coat (with those beautiful golden markings) cottony-soft and matt-free.
We're requested that Ethan be neutered prior to his transport to Denver. We're not optimistic that this will occur. If it doesn't...Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Ethan's neuter and microchip if our Denver area vet is used.
