My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Polly is a golden retriever mix. She weighs about 45 lbs and is around 4-5 years old. Polly was living on the streets for at least 3 years that we know of however it only took 6 days of being in our foster's home to bond with them and find the dog bed and toys. Polly LOVES her dog bed and LOVES stuffed toys. She carries them around all the time and gathers them them on her bed. Polly is good with dogs of all sizes and is good with cats. She has not been kid tested. She loves her belly rubbed.

Polly needs a secure fence and needs to be on leash when not in a fenced area as many things are still new to her. She still gets startled and is although improving she is currently still a flight risk. Her foster mom says that Polly is the most gentle dog that she has ever fostered. She truly is a quiet, gentle soul. She needs a quieter home with patient people who will understand her background and needs. All she needs is a little more confidence and she will reward you 100 fold. Polly is housetrained and sleeps in the bedroom at night on her dog bed. She is also crate trained.
