Trooper is a gentle soul who still loves to run and play. He has been raised around children of all ages and is patient with them. He is also around other dogs. He likes to play and wrestle a bit. Sometimes he plays fetch, but he isn't always great about bringing the ball back. Trooper has been around outside cats. He does chase them sometimes, but he is also willing to lay in the sunshine together with them.
Trooper is looking for a home who will help us get him to his vet appointment for vaccines and a heartworm test once he is placed. He is already neutered. Trooper has recently lived outside since the family decided they didn't want dogs inside. We are guessing that he is still housebroken. He has never been crated, but is sometimes is in an outside pen.
Trooper weighs about 60 pounds. We think that he will need a home that doesn't have too many steps. We just aren't sure if he can climb stairs with his three legs, as he has never had to do that before. We also think a fenced yard would be ideal.
If you would like to meet Trooper, please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first step of the adoption process. Trooper's adoption fee is $150.
