Leroy's Story...
Name: Leroy
Breed: Aussie mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Male

Leroy is a 2 year old 35-40 pound Aussie mix who likes his walks and playtime, but settles down well inside the house and always loves to meet new people and dogs. Surrendered for being a chicken chaser, he is seeking a home who wants a dog to go for walks/runs and then have a couch companion. He is great with kids and other dogs, will chase cats for the sport of it. He is doing well with house training and is crate trained for the workday.

Requirements: No cats

You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leroy, a Minneapolis Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
