ZAC is an adorable black and white male tuxedo teenager kitten with yellow eyes and a cute little black half-mustache. He’s about 5 months old. He was born to an abandoned mama cat in Springfield, and some kind neighbors took him in and socialized him so that he would not have to live his life as a feral cat. He is initially shy, but once you have gained his trust, he will be your best friend for life. He purrs when being picked up and asks for love and attention. He also loves to play, and especially enjoys balls on a track that go round and round. He is good with other friendly cats (including adult cats), and would probably be OK with gentle older children. This little guy is ready for a safe and secure forever home. His adoption fee is $110 ($200 for 2 kittens), which is strictly to help cover our costs. Zac has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. He is now in the cat room at Petsmart in South Eugene (28th and Willamette). For more info, call Beth at (541) 255-9296

About West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
